Seniors Training

Working with seniors is one of the most rewarding activities the training staff at New Day enjoy. We enable seniors to to increase mobility, strength, balance, proproriception and confidence. We have the priviledge of working with people who are recovering from many debilitating health issues including stroke, hip and knee replacement, parkinson’s disease, M.S., cancer and more.  Our clients learn that they can regain the ability to be active and enjoy life again. Our facility is properly equipped to safely help you get the most out of your training. We strive to maintain a quiet, unintimidating yet uplifting atmosphere. please see our testimonials and learn what New Day has done for others.

Functional Strength

This program is designed to enhance the ability to perform daily activities such as bending, lifting carry, getting up from the floor, etc.   The focus will be on ensuring effective core engagement, proper technique, and then building muscular endurance or strength.  Safe for those with osteoporosis and arthritis.

Time: Monday and Wednesday 11:00-12:00

Posture Plus®

This program is designed to provide exercises that will help to minimize postural decline and joint pain while improving general strength and mobility.   The exercises are designed to strengthening the core as well as other weaker muscles while stretching those muscles that are typically chronically tight.  Safe for those with osteoporosis and arthritis.

Time: Monday and Wednesday 12:00-1:00

Fall Recovery®

This program is designed to enhance the mental confidence and strength required to recover from a potential fall.  A series of exercises will incorporate balance, agility, coordination, postural enhancement as well as appropriate muscular strength and flexibility.  Safe for those with osteoporosis and arthritis.

Time: Monday 1:00 – 1:30

Core and More®

Exercises will primarily be on the mat and are designed to help improve breathing, posture, back health, as well as core function, mobility and strength.  Safe for those with osteoporosis and arthritis.

Time: Wednesday 1:00 – 1:30
